Welcome to another roundup of Sports Viz Sunday.

I'm sure many of you have tuned in to watch Scottie Schefflers brilliant Open win today? He put on quite the master class only having 4 bogeys, making big putts on consecutive holes that put him ahead and some brilliant par saves. He really is just so good!

In terms of content this week, Scott opens looking at the Tour de france stages. Interesting idea looking at it by age. 1 more stage win than Mark Cavendish at the age of 26, so we will see how the next decade plays out for Tadej!

Another TDF piece I came across was from Frans Geurts. A playful design with an accompanying legend to help understand the small multiples.

Here is how he has described his project

"The goal here was more playful; to create something that's based on real data, but primarily designed to look like the landscapes we see during the Tour: a bit of a wink to all those castle-and-sunflower shots in between the racing.

And yes, every tile represents one edition of the Tour, from 1903 to 2025."

Adam is back for a second week in a row, this time focusing on the Sinner - Alcaraz final from Wimbledon last week. I only just managed to get over the result, so its a strong reminder of the Sinner masterclass. Such uniform to the design give each set was 10 games long, the subtly of the break serve "dots" help show the switch in momentum in Sinners favour.

Another Wimbledon one we saw this week came from Neil Richards, also using the colour palette to showcase different match results through their first and second serve details. This style reminds me of trading cards.

A breathtaking visual comes from WTFox this week highlighting the legendary career of Jamie Vardy. They do so well in capturing all the details behind 200 goals.

What a beautiful poster!

& Finally, Congratulations to Bo on his Viz of the day!

That's it for this week. Hope you have a sport filled week!

I really enjoyed this blog article and the way the content was presented. The writing felt natural, thoughtful, and easy to connect with. A good blog post should leave the reader with something useful, and this one certainly did. I liked that the message was clear without being too simplistic. The overall flow kept my attention all the way through. I would happily read more pieces written in this style.

This article was engaging without trying too hard, which I really appreciate. The structure was clear and the message came across very well. An online blog becomes much more valuable when it publishes content that is both readable and meaningful. I liked the steady pace of the writing. Overall, this was a strong piece.
