Hi everyone, welcome to another Sports Viz Sunday round-up. Hope everyone has been enjoying a relaxing weekend.
Panic not. Luke Littler was only joking when he said he was going to retire from darts.
The sporting moment of the week must come from no one but Mondo Duplantis. With ANOTHER world record in the pole vault.
& how best to celebrate it other than a visual.
Records are there to be broken and it seems like we are living in the Duplantis era for pole vault records. Just when you think we have reached the peak of what the record could be after a spell of no records in the early 2000's. Duplantis sits just behind Bubka in terms of total number of world records broken but for how long? Time will tell.
Check out this Carlos Alcaraz piece created by Charlie Green. Charlie greats a wonderful curved chart to show his US open route to victory with some pretty clean score cards. That bordering effect is replicated in the KPIs to the left highlighting Alcaraz dominance tournaments, albeit falling behind the pack in terms of break points saved as a perc of total faced. Nice work Charlie!
Mo is making some small tweaks to his drive charts on the NFL. Take a look if you have the opportunity, it's about time these are made into some posters!
Chris Westlake has written a blog on some of the details behind his fantasy sports selector. Map layer & dynamic zone visibility heaven.
You can catch up on some of our favourites from August here.
