Happy long weekend (for some!), else, welcome back to another Sunday round-up.
A pretty action packed week of sport, I managed to catch a few highlights from Sabalenka in the French Open, The Sunderland play off match as well as the spurs victory over man united, and of course the Monaco GP.
A nice variety in content this week and apologies if you see my name come up, i've quoted a whole bunch of cool stuff.
Harry Sharman took to the virtual stage to present what Tableau looks like in house at his rugby club. Interesting to see the level of engagement they get and how people are buying into what they are building and reporting on.
We are moving more and more to a tracked health lifestyle as more tech products flood the market. Valerie showcases what metrics are important to her within this health and fitness dashboard, and I got the honour to ask her a few questions both design and health focussed. Check out her thoughts below.
This week we announced the winners of the Chelsea FC Hackathon.... I might write a few words on it at a later date, but for now do check out the winner entries. They will honestly blow you away in quality.
Simple design is great design. Lev looks at draft pick numbers that win the MVP in NBA. Before looking at the chart, you'd probably suspect the winners tend to land in 1-3 and thats true. So whilst the messaging here was that Shai was the first ever 11th pick, I'm sure you were just as curious to see Nikola Jokic so far out. Lev knew of this, and fortunately labels it for us!
Chris and Rob have been quite the pairing as of late with recent collaborations, and it looks like they've bounced ideas once again to influence Chris' latest visual. Quite frankly, I can't imagine the amount of technical elements going into picking the squad and saving those parameters down, but Chris has pulled it off elegantly with smooth transitions.
I want to see some printscreens of peoples end team choices!!
Scott highlights Crystal Palaces recent win over Man City to get their latest silverware.
Interestingly you see the rise of Crystal Palace in the mid to late 70's whilst also being able to look across the relationship between the two cups. Let's see if they can keep that momentum moving into next season.
Catch you next week,
CJ & the #SportsVizSunday team
